i would imagine you would need a LM chip and to know the pin out for the scrat cable thing... but thats just me throwing a guess at the wall

you need to solder to the av points  which i do not know the pin out for a ps3

I made my own for xbox 360 and this should work good for PS3 also just need to know which av points you need to solder to rest is pretty simple

that would be the problem i have not yet know where are the av points are..

just took a little time to google this

i would test them with a mulit meter with the cables plugged in and check the red and white audio pin outs  to the mother board. 

if i had a used ps3 motherboard i could do it for your if i had one.
