Xbox 360 PSU Fan Direction
« on: November 16, 2014, 12:03:15 AM »
Hey everyone!

So I'm working on fixing the noisy PSU fan on my Falcon Xbox 360.

I'm nearly done, but I don't know which way to put the fan.

I have seen both done online, the most common method being like this:

And only 1 example of the opposite way:

I believe the 1st method would suck air into the psu, and the 2nd would push air out.

Which one should I do?

Thanks!

I believe on the normal fan it draws the air in and pushes it out.

Thanks for the reply! :)

Yeah, I read somewhere that the Xbox 360 PSU does something like that.

However, I couldn't find a consistent answer online.

Either way, I couldn't get the new fan to fit my Xbox 360 PSU housing, so I'm switching to the ATX PSU method.  I've got a couple spare PSUs, so hopefully it goes OK! :P
