Hi ,please i need help! Having bought an unlocked pcb for my slim,dumped dummy bin for the original drive ,hooked up replacement ,followed the tutorial to the letter ,put drive back in console,play game comes up,black screen ,then back to dashboard,original game comes up as play dvd !I used all the correct equipment etc,consider myslef an experienced modder ,but i am baffled by this,please help?Here's my jf log

Be more specific in your description. Like its is a lite-on 16d4s or a d5s?
Where did you buy your PCB from and what brand is it?
was the drive working before you did the PCB swap?
Have you tried replacing the laser if the drive wasn't working before the PCB swap?
An experienced modder would know to give as much info as possible.

liteon 16d4s,unlocked pcb the same
the drive was perfect before ,even now if i replace original pcb in it plays fine
the unlocked pcb was from ebay,a trusted seller,i have checked his previous fb on the unlocked pcb's all have been positive,when i flash it goes through the positive motions,verify ok etc,but it seems to me its just not holding the info on it,if that makes sense?Also the pcb has on/off solder points it looks like by the back end of the ribbon hole ,i can't see to upload a photo as it says invalid file.Many thanks for replying

may i ask who the trusted seller was on ebay? Dealing with Moon River he has sent me so many bad boards i gave up on him half the stuff he has sent me never works i always have to return the stuff. never reconizing the drives on j-runner and boards all come from china.

also if its looping back to the dashboard then try reflashing it again. being its a simple 16D4s drive those are pretty simple to unlock. and if you bought one someone has change the chip on the board to unlock its possible you have a bad board .

Is this on a RGH slim? could just be the dashlaunch needs to be updated. I have had this issues before and could be a couple of issues

If its a retail slim then i am pretty sure its the board your using.
