Xbox 1537 pad resistor values
« on: March 09, 2020, 02:27:53 PM »
I have a pad and the chip by resistors 30 31 32 33 heats up when the pad is given power.  The pad doesnt actually switch on or connect the light just comes on and this chip gets hot.

I've tested all the caps they were shorting so replaced the ic near resistors 30-34. The caps no longer short

But after testing this pad v another I have I get different readings on both pads on theee resistors

So was wondering what the resistors 30-34 should read as these are the only diffrences I can find between the 2 boards

Thanks people

R30 = 220k

R34 = 340k

Both are 0402 and should be 1% or better tolerance.

Those are out of circuit measurements, no idea what they will measure exactly on the board in circuit, as several other things could change that measurement while the Resistor value is really just fine.
Screwing up is one of the best learning tools, so long as the only thing you're not learning is how to screw up.
