Conductive Pen and Pad Repair
« on: March 30, 2020, 07:35:34 AM »
Hello all,
I tried searching on Google and here but the answers aren't clear.
I'm wondering if anyone had success repairing a lifted pad using a conductive pen for a controller and console.

I'm fairly new to soldering and I'm not comfortable as of yet jumping wires.

Please do share your experiences.

A conductive pen is more for drawing on a trace to reconnect point A to point B, it's not for recreating a pad where a component will be installed and preferably soldered in place.

Post a pic of the damage and we'll see what options there are to straighten it up.
Screwing up is one of the best learning tools, so long as the only thing you're not learning is how to screw up.
