PS4 Trigger Input Stuck When Controllers Reassembled
« on: April 27, 2020, 02:30:31 AM »
Hi guys, I've been repairing controllers for quite some time now and haven't come across this issue before. So I've repaired multiple things on both a jdm_030 controller and TH201. They are basically identical with the same mesh traces for the face buttons. When i put the controllers back together, either L2 or R2 will register a constant press. This is button 7 or 8 when testing on a PC I believe.

I've tried swapping the mesh traces between controllers and still the same issue persists. I feel it cant be damage from repairs as they exhibit the same issues. I truly believe I've put them back together correctly and am honestly stumped. It's also a different trigger on each which is odd. Has anyone ever faced this issue or has any suggestions as to what I could try? It would be greatly appreciated!

TLDR: One trigger registers constant press when controllers are reassembled.
