JDM-011 R2 always pressed.
« on: October 04, 2020, 07:41:31 PM »
I've looked around and read what I could but nothing has helped so far.
I've changed the daughter board and cable to a couple of spares as well as different conductive films. Any tips on how to trouble shoot would be great. Thanks

If the daughter-board and motherboard contacts are not making a good enough connection it can act that way. Try pressing on the back of the board where the contacts are and see if it straightens or place a shim or two under the piece of foam at the daughter-board contacts so it will put a little more pressure on there when everything is back together.
Screwing up is one of the best learning tools, so long as the only thing you're not learning is how to screw up.

That didn't work as well. I'll try to hunt down a cpu unit. Thanks for the help guys

Thank you for your advice. I replaced the processor on my JDM-055 board and it solved the problem with the always pressed L2
