Welcome.

Guide turning the controller on but not registering that button, I'd look at D27 first, make sure it's on the board. Then all of the traces and such to/from it to Guide and J3p2. Quicker test would be to just swap over a known good top board. If it still has that same no Guide button issue, then it's either some trace to the MCU, or that MCU has an issue. Can also try a firmware update to see if there are any changes.

I have an issue with the 1914 model: when connected via USB, it starts making a buzzing sound and doesn't do anything. I swapped out the top circuit board (the one with the buttons) and it works with the replacement board; I?ve inspected the old board, but I don?t see anything suspicious... do you have any idea where I should look for the problem?

Does it work fine on batteries?

If so, then U1 or something in that circuit is suspect, as U1 is mainly there to make the 5v USB turn into 3v for the controller. If it also does not work on batteries, then U5, U6 or something in their circuits are suspect.
