« on: January 11, 2021, 11:30:01 AM »
I have a v1 elite controller. It works fine with cable but with batteries if i click on the home button to turn it on it turns of exactly yhe moment i lift my finger up from the home button. So it only basically works wireless if i keep the xbox home button pressed as soon as ii let go it turns of. Anyone know what this can be ? Im good with soldering etc so i think i could fix it myself

On the top Button/Power board, make sure the trace from J1p11 to the Anode of D26 is good, check D26, then make sure the trace from the Cathode of D26 to Q9p1 is good.

If all of that checks out, then the Power OK signal isn't coming from the MCU board. You'll have to start at J5p11 there and work your way back, but will most likely end up at the MCU, in which case a reflow could correct it.
Screwing up is one of the best learning tools, so long as the only thing you're not learning is how to screw up.
