Problem with left analog vertical axis
« on: February 18, 2021, 09:28:59 AM »
Hello, I have a problem with a ps4 joystick, which does not work the potentiometer of the vertical axis.
I tried changing the part but the problem persisted.
The platelet layer is worn.
Is there any way to repair it? Attached image of the problem

I thank you very much I learned by reading a little of this great forum, and sorry for my bad English, I use a translator.

Solder a jumper wire from the center lead of the POT to the trace and reconnect it.
Screwing up is one of the best learning tools, so long as the only thing you're not learning is how to screw up.

Hello, thank you very much for answering. Please tell me where to solder the cable.
In the attached image I soldered two wires on those painted lines but it didn't work.

Only 1 wire is needed.

Look in the DS4 PCB scans thread for pics of the board to see where that trace is.
