Fr-301 Copycat

What?s a good Hakko Fr301 copycat? It?s a pretty bad value tool for close to 300$ and I only want to use to it to desolder ds4 sticks. Also can you use it over the remappable chips solder points that are on the joysticks for l3 and ground.

i use hand solder pump 2$ cost. its enough for such amount of work.

I can remove the first layer solder but the second layer is still there on the other side with a pump

With what temperatures and type of solder did you try to desolder?

I?m just worried about calibration now eventually it did come out and I bought the genuine part from mouser

trick is about using large iron tip with enough heat transfer. i use dl52 in hakko names. 400C is enough to unsolder all 3 pins at once in 2sec and clean holes with 2 solder pump shots. also u can use a preheater table. preheating table makes work with multilayer pcbs MUCH easier. since its very expensive u can use hot air gun set to 200C to help.

Just go on amazon, type desoldering gun, then buy the one you can afford making sure its actually for desoldering. No one knows your budget except you. Clones are clones, they all work the same. Youre buying a clone not a name.
