Controllers Xbox PlayStation Nintendo not reaching 100%

Hello, I?m here trying to figure out why a controller won?t reach 100% on the corners or left right up down. I have tried different joysticks, different pots, from mouser or aliexpress. Is it that a bad joystick was used during calibration or maybe wasn?t soldered 100% straight or level. Not entirely sure how to fix this issue. I have figured out the resistor between the pot to center. But would be greatly appreciated to be able to reach 100% when moving in the circle on gamepad5html etc.

If the analog stick can move anywhere in a circle, when it's diagonal, it's not as far up as it would be if it was just up. For your purpose you would need some way of mapping the circular gate to a square.
