Fixing JDM-055 right analog
« on: September 21, 2021, 04:20:40 AM »
Hi all. I'm trying to fix my JDM-055 PS4 controller. I removed the right analog and before put a new one, I tested the controller on the PS4 without the right analog. First person shooter games looks like crazy without the right analog. This is normal? For me, without the analog nothing must happens, but it moves the view like crazy. Thanks!

With no Stick installed, both of the Analog lines are 'floating'. Think of it like the end of a fire hose that is turned on with no one at the end of it to direct it, it just goes wherever it wants. Same thing with a floating Analog input to a microcontroller, it has nothing to make it 'behave' like it should, that's what the Potentiometers on the Stick are for.
