Xbox Series X controller 1947 stick drift right stick
« on: September 27, 2023, 01:55:59 AM »
Hey thanks for taking the time to read this post, and hopefully help

My 1974 Series X controller has suddenly gained stick drift on the right analog stick. Everything else works fine.

It drifts constantly up slowly and I?m having to constantly tap down to put it back.

On the controller test page on the Xbox the stick drift happens after approx 3 seconds, i.e. no drift will show then 3 secs later it will happen. Even holding the stick in the full down position it is still drifting up.

I opened the controller and thought i could see water damaged components on main board (Z1 & Z3) and more on the SOC board (around Z4 & L4) but realised they are supposed to be blue.

Could it be a bad analog or more likely to be components around/associated with it.

Thanks
