BDM010 PS Button grounded after analog stick replacement
« on: November 07, 2023, 09:34:40 AM »
I bought a used controller that had stopped holding charge according to description - cause appeared to be some water damage after inspection as there was corrosion on the circled areas. Cleaned it up and got it working fine (capacitor fell off on the area marked '1', however controlled functioned fine without it). But after removing the right analog stick, the PS button is now always active and I can't figure out how to fix it. Everything else still works fine. Any idea what it could be?

You're missing the 100k pullup Resistor on the PS line.

Screwing up is one of the best learning tools, so long as the only thing you're not learning is how to screw up.
