Incompatible chips? JDM-001 + BD92001
« on: January 01, 2024, 04:02:17 PM »
Hey! New year.

I bought a lot of 5 chips, BD92001 5121, and after instaling them on 2 JDM-001 boards they show the same signs of "malfunction" so to say. Both turn on with bluetooth connection, but both refuse charge with only around 50ma going in, don't show lights and don't accept USB data. The daughter board is a known working one.

Both boards are 1-889-300-11

Please, what am I missing?

The 7710 chip does the battery charging on the -001 board. If there is no USB detection, remove the 5 pin device that is just up and right of the 7710 chip first and retest.
Screwing up is one of the best learning tools, so long as the only thing you're not learning is how to screw up.
