1708 LT Rumble Not Working
« on: October 24, 2026, 07:48:26 AM »
I keep seeming to run into this problem and just replace the board usually. This time, I'm trying to diagnose it and running into dead ends. I've replaced U4 and R17,R18,R19,R20 based on the schematic after replacing the motor itself. I'm getting 33k on R17, however I keep getting around 25k on the other resistors. I replaced U4 again just in case. I'm not finding any hot spots but can confirm the positive line is being pulled down by something.

If anyone can think of anything, I'd love to have an idea for these in the future. Thanks!

That R17 measuring 33k is suspect as the 25k measurement is normal. It usually means the connection from R17 to U4p1 is open.

Seriously appreciate it RDC!

I didn't see a weak trace right before the data side of R17, jumper and good to go!
