Man if you can get it to work that way it would be so good. I havent posted a pic of the socket yet because its just hanging out at the moment. I want to make sure that every thing works befor finishing it up.

bte that controller looks pimp. Are you still doing the tv out thing?

Yeah, but I still need those figures.

What I'm planning on doing is modding a PSP2TV first to get the raw signals out (plus its easier than fighting with the FPC) and the rolling from there. Don't want to spend the cash on a pointless PSP2TV unless the signals are within my expected ranges first.

How many wires do you have in total going from your PSP to pad?

Now whos not reading the posts properly. I told you, 14, but I added another 3v for the led's so 15 in total. But If you mean cables, theres four, I could have done less but I quite like the idea of having 2 on ether side.

I think the problem with that psptv thing is that it has a huge block conector on it. I dont know if you'll be able to fit it in without using there ugle case.

Thats why I asked - 15 still makes no sense, haven't you connected the analogs or am I missing something here?

Yup, but that big block will come in handy for testing my mod - if the frequency extension works then something will have to be created for a final release.

Your not missing something your just not keeping up with the thread.

One of the analoge sticks is connected to the [] O X V buttons so they share wires. The other only needs 3.

Are you winding me up? I told you that too. . . Because of the way my setup is I figured there was no need to do the start and select because I can easily reach them and there not needed in most games. I also sugested wiring the L2 and R2 buttons to the keys that the psp ps1 emu mapped them to. But as I dont have that emu I didnt bother.

Just finished replacing all the psp leds with white ones. Looks cool. Man those led swaps are a pain.

Just finished testing. Finaly everything seems ok (thanks joe). The left analoge remains untested. But since I've done a few stick mods I am not to worried about that bit *fingers crossed*

is it hard to cut off the original LEDs? cuase i could imagine them snapping off really easily

Its not hard getting them off. Its just a pain to get the new ones on. Worth it though.

yeah, i just tryed it on my old cell phones LEDs with an X-acto knife, and the original LEDs cracked into a bunch of pieces but i got it off.......just wondering if its supposed to come off cleanly or not

Well its been a long day of wiring and rewiring and scraping tracks and dispair, but I now have the controller working. Uploading video now.

Still to do.

Change cases
Put in sockets
put on plugs
wrap cables
Test analoge (that had better work first go or the bin men are going to be collectig blue glowing bags from my house).

Then add second nub when it arives.

Video coming in half an hour.

Yep. Well apart from start and select (I just couldnt be bothered, if I ever do another I'll do it). The right stick is modded with cybers right analoge mod.

I know. I bridged the resistors. It might have been to much. Its pretty distracting. F

As long as they are within tolerances then it shouldn't be a problem, best to check before sealing the PSP up though as I've had to reopen a mod due to toasted LEDs and it is irritating.

Best to take the time whilst it's open to 100% everything.

I am pretty sure the leds ok. It had better be because I took the resistor out. I realy dont want to have to put another in.

I've only ever opened up a PSP once and that was the early ones to mod the dpad and buttons. Keeping the dust at bay was a

in my low budget clean room (tiled shower/condensation) with compressed air as the bare TFT attracts even the smallest fragment in the air.

How is yours after being open for a month? Can you close it up without any debris - Took me about 5 attempts to get it done and that's why I'm reluctant to POC mods.

Going to pick up a beaten up unit soon to keep open all the time though :thumbsup:

Nah, I am not worried. Its derty but I'll get it clean. I've got to compleatly diasemble it tomorow. So I'll sort it then.
