Title: Acidmods Has Been Updated

Ok guys we have Just updated the acidmods forum version and are awaiting a theme to be made so that we can look like we used to do - so this theme is a temporary measure i might try to find a temporary theme so that it isnt quite as bland as it was.
there are many improvements in this theme and we will be doing some work with setting etc to enable these new features.
please bare with us whilst we try to get it sorted and ready and if you find any bugs please don't hesitate to point them out in this topic

i know its all bland etc guys but i am working on it and trying my best
dont forget if some parts of the site are really weird like show up with black portions as though the old acidmods and this one were mixed its because of your cache so remember to empty your cache.
also there are new fields in your profile to put your gamertags and list some of your games, these parts of your profile are searchable using the member search feature under the members tab. this is basically what we were going to work on when we asked for beta testers. so now you can when people start to populate there profiles you will be able to search for fellow members who have the same games as you and play with them.
also if when writing a message or reply or a topic if you press this icon (https://www.acidmods.com/forum/Themes/default/images/bbc/toggle.gif) it toggles the way the editor works between normal BBC view and a WYSIWYG editor
another thing you may notice which was requested a few weeks/months back was a title and now the site has a title so thats a bonus i think
i am really pleased with this new version and the new features and i think that the added security and features that it brings outweigh any problems with it and the current state of it not having a theme except the default SMF theme. but that should be remedied over the coming weeks as i am having our old theme remade so that it is compatible with this new smf version but that takes time so please be patient with me especially as i have university work as well.

Hey all, I have a question is there gunna be different themes for the new acidmods, because i dont like it...hurts my eyes :boxed: there are some nice parts butall together id rate it like 6/10 one thing I really like is the quick reply feature

Its not a custom theme or "layout" its the default SMF Theme... There is a post in Rules and Announcements but... i guess your not bright enough to read it :3

btw if you want to test the gamer friend finder then go to the members search page (https://www.acidmods.com/forum/index.php?action=mlist;sa=search) and choose the search by 360 game and type halo 3 as the search query and it should find me.
if you want to fill out your profile area dont forget to separate the games by return in your profile e.g.
Halo 3 Gears Of War 2 Call Of Duty 4 Call Of Duty World at War Guitar Hero World Tour
you get the idea and put your gamertags in there so that people can find you and buddy up with you by pressing the [Add To Buddy List] link in there profile

This isnt a theme its jsut a place holder till the theme gets fixed, Surely that is clear as nothing matches thigns are jsut stuck on top of others and its broken in almost everyway, sheesh ¬_¬

LOL. I was about to go HOLY CRAP WHAT THE HELL ACIDMODS ISN'T ACIDMODS ANYMORE!!!! Then I realised it said UPDATED! Anyway, some things at the top should be centered, but I guess that doesn't really matter as this is temporary. Arg the whiteness is so... white! Lmao.

hi guys and girl to be honest to you all .. i actually really like this new acidmods look.. it makes it easier on my eyes to see and read topics. i didnt really like dark themes . it makes it harder to seach or what your looking for .

I suppose its really upto admins to make the decision on themes as theres a mixed opinion. Maybe wel have two themes up (changeable) dark and light

Just so you guys know, you could have went onto this theme any time... It is in your profile to switch themes lol. We had a dark, light, and red, and this one too.

Remember that once you've done all the theme modding you need to change the themes directory to read-only except for system.I had my site hacked because I forgot to reset the file permission and the dipsh*ts deleted a custom theme I had made.

I'm glad you guys sorted out the email notfication thing. Every time I got an email it said Unknown, and it kept saying the email is dangerous, are you sure you want to open it? OVER AND OVER again. But much better now :) Thanks again.

I found a bug. When posting pictures which are big it kind of goes of the page and out of the area which is given for all writing, pictures, videos etc..... e.g. : (Nothing major, just thought I should let you guys know)

Not a bug, that's your resolution I think. Doesn't do it for me because everything fits my screen. If you think it's too big, just use the image resize code.

yeh it depends on your screen resolution - i never notice with my 1920x1200 res if it is affecting you with oyur images use the resize code just use [img width=600] at the start instead of [img] and i will see if i can find a way to get images to auto resize and be clickable so that if you want it bigger you just click on it

its been worked on. work started on it last week but is taking longer than expected as were aiming for W3C compliant as well as multiple colour schemes 6 in total i think. but when it is ready it should be amazing

ok well we got the red version almost done the menu is rollover and i think is the sort of look i like in a menu but there is just a slight problem with the menu not centering. and now were working on the colour changer as we will have about 6 different colours for the theme hopefully
heres a video of the problem with the menu to give you a slight idea about how it will look
