I'm working on a server with a friend. Very soon I will figure out how all of the mods work so i can plot land to people.
Also post your server IPs and stuff you built. So far I havent built anything impressive except a bunch of redstone circuits.

Look at my amazing Power FOOKz. and also IS Minecraft even that great? I remember the PreAlpha testing was kinda lame but building LolerCosters was fun

Nice one mate I love Minecraft and have built loads, like a runway with actually flashing strobes, High security Bank and a airport
I would recommend Bukkit for your Server and I would recommend these plugins:
Essentials (Essential)
World Edit
World Guard
NoCheat ( blocks fly mods if you don't want them)
Super Picaxe
iConomy (in game money)
Mobile Admin (You can view and control your server from a mobile!!!)
Also have PVP plugins like
MobArena
Spleef (popular)
and lots more
Plugins I would avoid are Jobs, conflicts with a lot of plugins

Minecraft is a good game. But its got crappy graphics YET its very customizable and you can pretty much build anything that you can conjure up in your imagination. (that's the way i see it)
Nevbox - I have Bukkit and i installed iConomy (but i cant figure it out lol). I'll give the other mods a shot later when i have more free time.

@Fookz Well for starts you want some sort of permissions plugins, Essentials has that included. Get NotePad++ and make classes and add permission nodes in.
also most plugins have a config file which has lots of options, I have never installed iConomy personally, but it is compatiblele with a lot of other plugins

3rd people on here say they play it yet not one person would show they don't have the pirated one like other sites.

Me and my friend host a server but its kinda just within a couple friends if u need me to ill get a new one hosted if fookz doesn't.

plus a very fast connection since the creator will not fix this bug every time a update comes out you get a few less on your server due to it cannot handle it 2gb can do it yet they do say 4gb +

i'll try both fraps and camtasia studio, heard both were great at recording minecraft.
Nevbox: Im going down the list of your recommended plugins, the world guard 5.0 thread says hMod is needed i did more reading and Bukkit is supposed to be hMod's replacement... I'm a bit confused. is hMod an older version of Bukkit? Will world guard work on Bukkit? (I think i have the latest version of Bukkit).
never mind i read the dev's website for world guard and it runs on bukkit.

Fookz all plugins listed on bukkit.org do not need a modloader or anything that is probably so it can work on vanilla servers

im not using a mod loader.

Yes I know you only need a modloader if a mod/plugin requires it and bukkit plugins don't reguire modloaders for bukkit servers, but for vanilla servers ( notch servers official) some plugins offer support for vanilla servers but require a modloader as they were made for bukkit servers.

No. Its saturday hope i can find some time to tinker around with it.
Nevbox i talked to mansguchie about copying the server files/world files/mods to a zip folder so i can download them and try to run them on my PC.

ill get screen shots... and im good too but i dont have an account cause i dont wanna pay for it.... but i have built a 300 pit and at the bottom was that soul sand i think.... it was the stuff that doesnt catch on fire and a few other things.... i can get really into it haha but again i just dont wanna pay for minecraft

If any of you want to play online, just go onto to minecraft-server-list.com/ and go to the end page look for a server in your country, avoid kiddie servers.

I actually like single player, just loads of mods make it so much more fun, right now a have a corridor with a floor that raises a safe route and I you go on the floor lava come from above

Last I check when I send out client updates to software I made 1.0.0 is the lowest 1.8.1 would be higher.

Okay so the Official Version is 1.0 I have done that a few times. the other numbers are what I would see but the main client that was released would have an Official Version number. Also I really want to get this game. Minecraft is pretty dope.

It is $26.95 atm, they keep increasing the price and I think soon they may want people to pay for updates ( unless they get it before that system update) but that could just be a selling tactic.

man I remember when it was hella cheaper than that. :,( I will have to wait a while longer till I get settled at my new place.

I paid about 16.95 euros for mine ( back in Alpha) , but that is un comparable now due to the economic problems.
