Title: FIRST LED MOD FOR THE DS3 CONTROLLER!!!!

i'm pretty sure I am the first person to mod the dualshock 3 controller. I swapped the red LED's to blue. I am still trying to figure out how to install a lighted PS button....I will post pics and a vid later

Nope, this was done virtually on release, there are tuts on some sites.

I posted this same thread on PSU, what threads? not for a DS3...there are tons of threads on how to do the SIXAXIS. I looked everywhere for a modded DS3, I couldnt find one. So really  am the first documented one..

Different battery mounting aswell.
I wanna know what the other solder point is from where the motor links up on the board.

Whens these pics coming up? lol

When i recieve my DS3 im goin to light it up with few leds.. and add a different coloured led that will react with the motors.
soo when it vibrates it will change colour, e.g ill light the controller up blue and when it vibrate it changes to red.
to do that il probs have to put a two way switch that will divide the current to the different leds :D

why dont u try tht mod intead Sil3ntP3nguin :D
instead of the boring lite up controller :S lol

It's a great idea, but I don't think you need a 2 way switch. When the rumble is off, the blue leds get power from the + and - on the pcb.Now when the motors go, the leds just have to be wired to it. You just need to find a way to make the motors shut the power going to the blue leds

Can't help ya with that.May do that to my 360 con when I get it though :D

lol.... I figured out how to install a lighted PS button a month ago...lol
