I painted it LOL MAN!!!! jk I got after market plate and took off the arlic, sparyed and put it back

It came off easy pulled right off, and it snaps right back in

How do they now that people modded their console? fans has nothing software wise so they should not be able to tell things like that

i dont know, maybe they implimented somthing that tells the system how much is going out to the fans :dntknw:

This is my modded xbox 360 with 18 blue led's, clear case, XSATA and 12v Fan mod to prevent 3 red lights.

Still to do
-Add XCM fan with blue led's

-Swap stock fans with talismoon fans with blue led's

-Add switches

Microsoft can check the xbox for voltage alternation and ban accounts based on that...

You may be thinking well why is he quoting this?? Well because Microsoft have started banning xbox 360's with modded cooling. So if you've done the 12v mod your in risk of being banned for it.... How do I know this?? Because a friend of mine just had a nice chat with Microsoft About why he was banned and they explained it was because he had non-stock/modded fans.

Yes Microsoft Seem's to be going ban bad, Merry Xmas to you to Microsoft.

I was gonna add green lights, just wanna know if there is a safe way to get them hooked up.

We just cut the stencils out and spray painted it on, after giving it a nice sanding, then sprayed clear coat over top.

i always have something plugged into those ports so i figured i didnt need it and no i didnt change the rol...not that great with soldering but i have an update thanks to jhyphinwill...

mines working fine right now, just shows up as a portable drive and i can scroll through my playlist and play music when im playing a game

Now thats pimp. Im gonna get a black Faceplate, and swap the MC ports, USB flap and power button to black, and then slowly mod it further, but keeping the sticker look, so it looks pretty much stock when off (No holes cut etc)

That's looks great. For some reasons 360s always go well together with blue.

All I did was paint it black and gold, with a carbon fiber faceplate. It has a full side window with a fan over the cpu. (ignore the dvd case it looks very cheesy, I ordered a new one because i messed this one up. :cry2:

I think the next best thing is going to be putting it right by one of the sides of the Xbox by the grey parts with holes in them. Then I can switch it on and off with a small rod.

I know my user name isn't in every photo, I gave up on it due to having to adjust it, the lights, the console, and myself. I plan to paint the "XBOX" logo on the case orange, and finish the face plate, by filling in all the letters and symbols in black. I will then finish the paint job so it constantly changes color in the light.

Get some XCM Core V2 fans
Add pulse mod
add some switches
Clear HDD case with leds

I have used respectable power sources and did not steal the dvd drive's power =]

Stage 1 (Console Mod 1)

This was a basic Mod! all i did was change the Center LED inside the ROL and added Whisper Fans with Ultra Bright Blue LEDs! as for the controllers.. all i did was swap out the LEDs for some Blue and UV 0603!! (very basic!)

Stage 2 (Controller Mod 1)
Did not have many Pics of this :( was too eager to do Mod the Hell out of the Xbox360!! but it was basic! only the 0603 Leds were changed to UV) See above Pic!!

Stage 3 (Controller Final Mod)

This was the final Mod on the Controller! :D
And yes it is way to bright to use in everyday gaming!! lol! so now i use one of the basic Modded controllers i have!!
(UV is so much Easyer on the eyes!! lol)

This was the Final MOD on the Console!! Changed the Case for a Lian-Li XB-01,
Swapped the 120MM fan for one with Leds (swapped connectors!)
Added Cold Cathode Kit (in the Base by the USB ports)

I also Changed my second Xbox360 to the Lian-Li case, But put UV Cold Cathode Kits inside (Temp controlled!!!) The hotter the console, the brighter the CC's Light up!! :D

Yea, kind of!! I snapped most of the plastic bits out! then dremeled the rest out! yea i used 3mm LEDs, They are perfect for that MOD!!
I did use a Set of 0603's in one of the controller mods i did.. it looked a bit Lop sided as the Leds moved while the glue was setting :( so now i just use 3mm's!!
I also have a Controller with 3mm rainbow LEDs (Red Green Blue) with a built in IC.. That looks sweet with 4X Rainbows in the Center X!!

There is only one question i have!!
How do you take pics of LEDs without the Pic being all blury?
I was able to do it on the Xbox360 no problem but with my new cam its a whole new ball game!!
I have tried to take pics all night of my best work but the LEDs are way to bright :( it just looks like a blur on my Cam!!
More so on the PSP's i have been Modding!!
managed to put 2 sets of LEDs in the L+R buttons but the cam will only see teh Blue ones.. :( should have used UV and Green!!! lol!!
Blue is too overpowering for the Cam i think!

So if anyone has any Ideas please let me know!! :P

i JUST noticed that, that xbox is the one i flashed for you. I can tell because of the ripped sticker where the spindle is that you ripped while replacing the laser. haha :tup:

Thanks mate! :D

All i did was remove the Guide button, cut out the bits of plastic from the outer edge (of the inside) of the button put a little hot glue and 4 Rainbow Leds! then wire them up to the Usb 5V(red cable) and Ground (black cable).
As for the IC, its built into the LEDs!! no joke!!

well this xbox had 0020 and it only works for a week at a time so its pretty much in the corner of my room unless i have friends over other than that its got the works bout the only thing i didnt do it throw more leds in the top and rol and i geuss actually put the plexi in

this also has newer heat sinks bolted down (no x-clamps) and the extra heat sinks on the ana chip. internal hard drive mod and a extra 60mm fan (was a tight squeeze lol), thats it so far on this box but am planing on red LED's a window and som form of vent for this 1.

this box also had a faulty lazer and RROD when i got my hands on it but i had a newer E74 dead box which had the same dvd drive (so a simple swoop for that fix
and the x-clamp replacement with new heat sinks has seemed to sort the RROD. (lets see how long for)
i also stole the newer box's stock fans, changed the connection (they were quieter)....

thanks mate. i've got 2 more on the way. another mate is wanting his elite doing and im still doing my spare console, the one in the middle of the last picture.

it was busted so i bought it off a mate for £20 lol
n fixed it. it had a dodgy lazer which i repaired with a drive swoop
and then ramdomly got 3rrod once for like 5min so i x-clamp repaired it upgradeed the heat sinks and fitted that 60mm fan in
just waiting on som red leds to finish it.

the one on the left is still in warrenty :hifive:
so will be postin more pics of my work in a few weeks
also the blue lit one will be aving a window cut in it when i get som plexy.

This is the blood splatter 360. Some of you might have seen it on other 360 modding sites. She's been around for a while. One of the first blood spattered 360's out there. She Finally gave up to the ghost a while back. I am no longer able to recover it. RROD and E74, plagued with both. She was fun while it lasted. I am still using the hdd in a new white 360. So part of it lives on.

Post by: Rodent on March 19, 2011, 08:54:45 PM: This Is my first case mod, I started it before christmas and got really busy with other consoles and repairs and snow removal, but I spent most of today working on it again , just added 20 leds and sound activated, just did a short video its dark but shows up good when it lights up, thanks to AM and a friend of mine for getting me involded in more then just playing xbox..lol :hifive:

But I figured while I had it I would take some pics and share it with you guys. It's a benQ and its been flashed. It has had some other mods... 12v fan mod, clear intake fan, back lit by leds. Blue on with power and red on fan speed control: ie hotter the redder . There used to be a trim ring around the fan but , I don't know what happened .

It took a :censored: on me with the red ring so I got it working and sold it while still had the chance. I beveled the edges and used real glass for the window.

my xbox 360 im working on started in fall of 2011 right before it was getting too cold thought i could finish it before it got cold guess i was wrong this was the only piece that got wrinkles in it so now im sanding them out and making it smooth to redo it

Got the xbox and the Vault case for free from a friend when the laser went bad. Got a new laser for it and got it working like new, decided I would mod this one for my wife so she can start playing GTA online with me.
