Title: Gamecube modchip questoins
Post by: sinrockets on October 19, 2013, 04:01:51 PM
:beg: Anyone know of a reliable site to get a gamecube mod chip, i cut up my GC and got it spinning DVD-r and put and internel SDHC port but neither matter without a Action reply disc to softmod which are like 100$ or a modchip witch i would be willing to pay 20$ give or take.

i heard the wireless xeno is a goodone.

Gimmie your 2 cents on what you think, and if theres a way to do it without the AR or modchip pleeeease let me know :)

Its not 100% but its in a usable state just touchups left.

Newer version of Action Replay does not allow adding of codes and does not allow booting of homebrew via SD Gecko.

SD Media launcher is still being made and available. However like Action Replay, SDHC cards do not work.

Eurasia (Based in Thailand IIRC) has XenoGC:

The source code has been released a couple of years ago. You could build your own or look through chinese web stores, they are very cheap.

Besides that chip, many members on other forums have been selling IPL Replacement chips and DuoQ drive chips quite cheaply.

ill might have to just invest in the modchip at modchip central, are they a credited website? anyone buy anything from there before?

And asfar the sd card i have that covered i have enough pictures to make a tut on the cut out for the dvd and the sd card but since how old the gamecube is doubt it would be used if i made it. what is a duoQ?

If you can follow the guide below i can program you a xenogc for you to install.  I will just send the programed chip only, you would have to get the few resistors and cap thats required for install..

If you had laying around you could get to me that would be premium, pretty straight up circut and if i gasp it right youll program a chip as a clone xeno chip then i just connect these components and it works the same. instead of doing it straight to the board wonder if it would be easier to put it together real sturdy and mount it internal some where else and just run the wires, i feel more comfortable that way.
