Title: New DS firmware piracy-resistant?
Post by: LeadBaron on July 18, 2008, 08:28:13 AM
I have seen on other forums that people are having trouble getting M3 Real cards to work in a new DS lite, but older DS Lite's they have tried work fine. Is there a new Nintendo firmware to stop piracy?

I never heard of this happening before, have they tried to flash it the custom firmware for the ds?

Well, if you read it through, yes it's clearly a new anti-piracy firmware update.
Although, flash carts aren't piracy...

Well...Doesn't concern me anymore anyway...just got my new DS Lite, and it has the Purple V5 firmware, so unless they went back to magenta, I got lucky with an old one.
