Nice stuff.
What camera you got? I'd assume it's a higher end model vs an entry level dslr.
-
Thanks :yess:
All the pictures I posted here were taken with an entry level DSLR - Nikon D80.
-
Ahh okay. I take it you do post processing?
-
theres some very nice shots there

On some shots yes. On others no. I try to avoid post processing as much as possible.
But on some shots they are indeed required to achieve an effect you might be looking for.
Coming from a traditional SLR film background, going into DSLR was a big change. There are so many things you could do on the DSLR that you can only imagine to, or with alot of extra equipment, do with a traditional film one. I use the photography techniques i have found and practiced throughout my time with cameras mostly. Spot metering is one such technique i often employ to achieve certain effects. There are techniques to achieve wide angle zooms without a wide angled lense (though more annoying to pull off). You could write an entire book on photographic techniques and people are constantly finding more with the new DSLRs
theres some very nice shots there
Thanks. Glad you enjoyed them ^^

I agree very very nice shots. :D

Fantastic shots mate. I want a DSLR now :/
Lol.. But yeah great work, there is some fantastic scenery in asia etc., I wish I had a camera when I went to 'nam, some amazing views there.

Thanks. Yeah, a DSLR is a good investment to make.
Unless you do some professional photography you can get by with a entry level.
The Nikon D90 (the successor model to the D80) is a decently priced and good DSLR.
And honestly there is no real need for those crazy pricey ones, with the right idea and techniques you wouldnt need anything aside from your stock camera lense
I havent been to Nam yet, but plan to in the future. Or if someone pays me for some non-stock photography for some Nam shots lol.

It could be that you just dont notice it. There are so many awesome things around us happening everyday that we tend to ignore them sometimes. For some reason we just simply "miss it by chance". Ive lived in philippines for the last 2 years now and there are some amazing places here, just never had the chance (or never been asked) for shots here.
