The way you have marked up the voltages, it seems to use -5V, -12V, and -3.3V which can not be right. But to be on the safe side, better mark it +5V, +12V, +3,3V so that no-one applies negative voltage from an unsuitable supply.

I have done a case / light mod on a slim (using ‘blackburn’s voltage points diagram)  I now want to do the same to a ‘E’ but I can’t find information to where the voltage (particularly 12 Volt) points and ground points are, so I can connect LEDs or LED strip lights has anyone located them. I know the motherboard is different as I have seen it -- see link-

they should be the same on the bottom of the motherboard as shown here

From the photos I found of the xbox 360 E motherboard (on ‘“ifixit” – xbox 360 E teardown’) it looks different to the slim particularly the back of the motherboard power plug.
Please see photos.

power points where the power plug is should be the same you should be able to check them yourself also for it

Thanks for your help – as you can see the power section on the back of the motherboard is definitely different. Yes, I could test it, I have a multi meter, but I am really apprehensive and I don’t want to fry the motherboard. I have to connect the on/off switch so I can turn it on? Do I need to have the DVD drive and HDD connected so it doesn’t come up with error codes or lights?

I can see some ground points, so I can start testing other solder points to check for voltage. I would like to find a bigger ground solder point. --- Can I a damage the motherboard if I Test 2 ground points at the same time with the multi meter or 2 live solder points with the multi meter at the same time as I try to find the voltage points and ground points?

Please see photo of Xbox 360 power section on the back of the motherboard.

aslong as you are grounded  just becareful when testing them at the bottom of the board you should be able to test them with out powering the console on.

I will see if i have a old Xbox 360 E laying around. or if i get one in i will test it and try to help you further along.  I dont get these often and i never add leds all the kids i make consoles for want LED Storm V2 with remote.

Thanks again for your help. It would be appreciated if you were able to do some voltage testing on the Xbox 360 E motherboard if the opportunity arises. I will not be doing any work on the case MOD of my “E” until after Xmas as I am too busy with work at present. I am just doing my “homework” now, so that when I am ready to do the Mod, it should be plane sailing.

Xbox 360 E Power pinouts --- Use this information at your own risk.
I tested the Xbox 360 E Voltage pinout points by checking for continuity to establish the ground points then soldered insulated wire to all of the solder points on the bottom of the motherboard underneath the power in socket. I then reassembled the Xbox except the top outer plastic casing and then tested it while the Xbox was on and fully functioning, as per photos, also see link  http://youtu.be/ZG3SCzEKi8s (http://youtu.be/ZG3SCzEKi8s)

Thanks --- I am just a beginner compared to you. Your sound activated LEDs look pretty complicated.
Do you think this thread needs to include 'Xbox 360 E pinouts' in the title?

the sound activated led is pretty simple install took me like 25 minutes to wire it  and the xbox 360 E slim motherboard is same as a corona  and Trinity motherboards on the bottom of  the board   and only a slight difference to the original pic above
