"I use it to lube joysticks"

Isn't that just another way of saying it?

@ Spurgurgle

Thats looking pretty good so far.  My original snes looks nothing like the one you have.  Did they make them different in the UK than the US?

@toad
Ah, but who said I'd keep the case? ;)

For the record:
If someone wants to post in my thread, I have NO problem with it whatsoever. In fact, I'd like that. This way I can see people posting interest in my entry and can answer questions/comments faster. XD

(If that's okay with you, Matt and Spurg)

It's looking like this mod-off will be an interesting one. Most are being very secretive about their projects which is cool. Nice to see some new modders in for the comp. I may be entering later on, well see how many controllers I can sell locally, since I don't have a stock console anymore. Looking to mod a gamecube... ya a gamecube, the funnest console ever in my opinion. Looking into a viper mod-chip for burnt games and a clear case replacement. And yall know me, there will be a plentiful amount of colours in there somewhere... haha

I hope I get the opportunity to mod one, thinking more about painting it also. Maybe a rubix cube theme... but all those colours aint gonna be cheap haha

to be clear, as I have been asked this more than once, you can start at anytime, just show a picture of the unmodded console with your start date and name in it...the only stipulation is you must be finished on time, so the sooner you start the better off you will be..

And what do mean about your prices? the cost of a gamecube?

He means the gamecube.

Also, I just came to the unfortunately conclusion that 360 cases aren't flat................................................................. god damn plexi.
Title: Re: COMMENT thread
Post by: Modded Matt on March 18, 2010, 02:21:33 PM
plex can be contured, use a 5 gal bucket or something of the sort, and a heat gun to mold it

Ya I remember you implemented that rule a while back. I just need to get my funding in order. I just finished a new cooling mod for my PS3, (4) 40mm fans intaking air along the side, and (2) 80mm fans exhausting air out the top. I may need to sell the controller I did last mod-off, I should be able to get a $100 for that. I could honestly start a local mod business, I sold a ps3 controller last month for $80 that had a PS button LED and a SMD swap

Huh. Well if I were to be putting it on my 360 case, what would be the best way? Just put it on the case, clamp it, and gun it?

$30-$60 I've seen around here. Most come with a few games and controllers

Post by: froggy on March 18, 2010, 02:29:51 PM
wow, i could buy around 3 gamecubes or 2 playstation 2
Title: Re: COMMENT thread
Post by: alman101 on March 18, 2010, 02:34:14 PM
Ya well u gotta remember, we have our own dollar, compared to the US, we pay 20-30% more for stuff.

And its not the gamecube thats gonna kill me, its the price of the viper mod-chip, the replacement case, the special nintendo screwbit to open the case, LEDs, and mayb a chip to run them. But I do have sound reactive boards I got from the last mod-off, but there not as good as pulseVU chip would be... O ya on top of that, I have to ship internationally of coarse. Theres $50 alone

Protip: Plexi melts when using a dremel cutoff wheel. Super easy to cut at the 35k rpm setting! =D
Title: Re: COMMENT thread
Post by: FOOKz™ on March 18, 2010, 02:46:23 PM
Protip: To Cleanly cut large sheets of plexi glass don't use a Dremel tool bit at super high RPM to cut it, it will melt and cause the edges to form burrs.

- To Cut Large plexi glass sheets with a thickness of 3/16++ ; 28 Tip Per Inch Wood Blades for a jigsaw works 100%.

Post by: PspKicks316 on March 18, 2010, 02:49:15 PM
Yes, but the edges won't be seen so I don't mind lol. I sanded the sides afterwards.
