New Simple Flex for the JDM-040 DS4 controllers. Because it's seriously easier than looking for all of those tiny vias. See NOTE for JDM-050 and JDM-055 installation.
L2 - L2
2L - Common for L2
R2 - R2
2R - Common for R2
3.2v - Common for R1 and R2, 3.2v
R1 - R1
R2 - R2
DU - D-pad Up
DD - D-pad Down
DL - D-pad Left
DR - D-pad Right
GN - Common for D-pad, Ground
TR - Triangle, /\
CI - Circle, O
CR - Cross, X
SQ - Square, [ ]
GN - Common for buttons, Ground

Remove the PCB and install.

Reinstall PCB and fold over the SFX, then use some double sided tape to hold it in place.

NOTE: The SFX-040 will still work in the JDM-050 and JDM-055 versions, but one of the posts on the battery tray needs to be cut because the SFX covers the hole for it once it's folded over to the back side of the board. It's not a complex modification, and can be done with just a pair of side cutters if that's all you have. If you have the newest SFX-040/050/055 this battery tray modification does not need to be done as that SFX has been slightly redesigned to get around it.

If you mean the Slim controller, the JDM-040 shown in this thread and the one here - https://www.acidmods.com/forum/index.php/topic,43542.0.html
I have not currently traced that one out, as it's more of a pain than just designing and installing the SFX for far easier access to all of the buttons, plus there's no possible damage to be done to the PCB from using the SFX on it.

RDC, I purchased the JDM-040 for it's sole ability to operate without bluetooth, however I wasn't aware that it hasn't been fully mapped yet. I'm going to send you a PM in regards to purchasing one of these.

Excellent work as always RDC. How does this connect to the board?

It sandwiches between the board and the ribbon cable connector of the daughter and main board and is not soldered directly to either circuit board.

Is this board still available? If so will it work on the JDM-001? Looking for a remap board that has the 2L / 2R mapped.

I have checked Ali and ebay, but I could only find ones without 2L and 2R.

Unless you specifically need those connections, the L2 and R2 can be activated by grounding them. That's not technically how the controller does it, hence why I made these with the 2L and 2R connections, but it does work.

It keeps your soldering iron from wrecking the tiny vias and traces of the controller board when you install duplicate buttons.

Hey RDC, sorry for necroing the post, but I'm interested in getting this SFX and I thought I would ask if you still had some. I found some similar stuff on Ali, but nowhere as clean as yours.
