Title: iphone downgrade from 1.1.2 to 1.1.1

has anyone done this and still have the info from where you got the downgrade i really need help :beg:

u can only safely downgrade a 1.1.2 iphone that was accidently upgraded to that firmware and if it has the old boot loader. All the new phones that come with 1.1.2 cant be downgraded yet(hopefully they will be) and contain a certain number in the serial # on the back. On my iphone it is ***46******, if its 45 or above(i think) it cant be downgraded yet

where did you hear that - i was sure you could downgrade any iphone using iphuc or itunes whilst pressing a key combo but not in the latest 7.5 itunes

thats just the main firmware, u wud also have to downgrade the baseband(which u can) and the bootloader but the new bootloader cant be yet. U can do the thing where in itunes u plug it in while in dfu mode and then restore the main firmware to 1.1.1 by pressing shift(windows) and restore and selecting the the 1.1.1 restore that u download but then u cant downgrade the bootloader.

so if i was to go and buy an iphone i couldnt downgrade it to jailbrake it and then upgrade to jailbroken 1.1.2

not if it has the latest bootloader. but some people have said that they had 1.1.2 but didnt have the latest bootloader so if u were them u could. as to how to check the bootloader im a little bit confused, i just know u downgrade to 1.1.1, then u downgrade the baseband and do something from there on, psp is so much more easier...

o i understand your on about unlocking the network on it so you can use any carrier - if all you want is to put on 3rd party applications then you can downgrade it without problem i think

i just bought my iphone which is week 47, i downgrade jailbroke it and updated and jail broke again, it works great, the only thing u can do is use anysim, u have to get a turbosim instead, but that wasnt a problem for me cause at&t is the only service in my area.  hackint0sh.org is the site that helped me do this
