Title: My Wii controler mods

that is :censored: awesome!!! :dribble: curious why you said "tattoo I did" I assume thats your leg, but still awesome! also, kewl wiimote/nunchuck mods! :tup:

OH well a question.
How did you get you a button to glow that much?
Mine barely glows and I am not using resistors.

I like the mega man tattoo.

Post by: OV3RCH1 on December 11, 2007, 10:57:01 PM: I went through at least 3 red LEDs, 2x3mm and 1x5mm. I put the 3mm LEDs at the top of the Wiimote and the 5mm for the trigger and both lights on the nunchuk. I just kept trying till I got a brighter LED. So it might be faulty 3mm and 5mm LEDs cause the 0603 blue LEDs were bright as :censored: on contacted, but I do have that problem with the LEDs on my PSP. I just can't get them as bright as some of the LEDS on PSP that I see on this site.

What I know that 5mm leds should be a nono..Cause they suck too much energy from the wiimote. But still people use 3mm leds and get really flashy leds. Soon will post my wiimote which A button don't glow as much as the others.

Post by: OV3RCH1 on December 12, 2007, 11:30:31 PM: I have a 5mm in the B button of my Wiimote and 2x 5mm in the nunchuk, and as you can see in the picture they all have the same luminosity ,but I'll open them up and take pics so you can that they are 5mm. Not that you have a reason to doubt me heh, It's just that they are really worth a thousands words.

Post by: Eddy04 on December 13, 2007, 02:55:05 AM: Lol I found good info. didnÂ´t know wiimote just transmit 3Volts. Which means less energy for any lead since blue leds need 3.3V to work perfectly and maybe 3.5 for full brightness. Which means that my mod is not glowing is just:
1-Led manufacturer is not that good.
2-Wiimote transmit 3v when 3.3 is needed.
