People you need to think about this..
How and where do I connect the 7 wires what kind of attachment will I use to connect the mouse.
there will be two types of mice resistive for nub and direct connect for dpad and face buttons..
-
im thinking 2 Mini USB's, with like a mount that holds the PSP in place, and has the connectors and mouse attached, then add the face extra face buttons and triggers, and you would have 1 handed PSP Browsing etc.

man, wtf is going on
2 cybers
area 51
this wierd mouse thing
-
i no how! mwahahaha, but i wont spill the beans
-
well as i said in my dslite mouse thread the 7 connections can be achieved through an 8 pin mini usb rather then two 5 pinners
if you manage to get ahold of some please send some to me :D
btw: I didn't bring this up on msn but wiring to the dslite touch screen through the SNES photoptical can be done so long as you get 3-5v to the mouse to power the infra-red beams, then you jsut need your own inputs
Where you thinking like an elastic band style resistive or another type...

the problem with the styly you are trying to do is this.
1: the resistive touch panel measures the particular resistece across the four leads of the touch panel the translates that into X,Y position. With a mous it uses resistive IR optics to determine forward and reverse movement in no way does it input X,Y coordinates. wiring a touch panel to a mouse would only result in confusion for the controller board.
However that being said you can wire a bouse up to a d-pad or a psp nub
a psp nub also works as resistive in theory a psp nub is nothing mor then a mouse it measures the resistence on the four leads to determine the direction and speed of movement.
Thank you good night chicago...............

ok could somebody tell me wtf is a psp mouse?
cyber, post a blueprint or sumthin
-
i dont get it
like a computer mouse?

Not really if you use it with a pikey keyboard itll be cool. :#1: :#1: :#1:
-
but i dont get the reason, ther is no point, that would take he whole portible out of psp
-
you can use a mouse anyware so it would still be portable you can use it on a cafe table in an airport etcetc
-
a ps/2 computer mouse is to fast for a psp
-
so would this be hooked up to the nub?
and is it going to be usb?
-
small USB ports are the option ;)
-
get the wireless thing that jair2k4 did and wire it up to the nub
i think ud only need the one nug.. right?
and have a dual nub so u can use the other nub for what ever
wait
idk
well thats all i can say lol
but i think yall already did that
wait does the old mouses have less than 7 wires?
the ones with out the roller in the middle to go down pages
that might reduce ur wires
-
how about a tiny touch sensitive pad, like the ones on laptops, but only smaller.
-
*squeak*
-
Im working on analog mouse :) i hope i do it.
