A "the works" bomb is nothing more than the chemical reaction between SodiumChloride and Aluminum in which the Aluminum breaks the bond between the previous molecule and releasing energy in the form of heat. Basically it is a chlorine bomb; the smoke created by the "bomb" is poisonous and that is the only real threat other than getting stuff into sensitive parts of your body (eyes, ears, mouth etc)
So no, it doesn't count, it would take a bath tub full of that stuff to even come close to the explosive power of even a weak grenade. The explosive power in a "the works" bomb is derived from the pressure in the soda bottle, which is less than 200 PSI whereas high explosives reach well over 5000 PSI/Square inch.

well get some francium (ABOUT THE SIZE OF A GOLF BALL and crush it up) then get a bath of water and stand far back and tip it into it - then watch the bang from that

Considering there is about the size of a baseball of francium on the ENTIRE PLANET, i'm sure that would be quite hard to do...

lol we watched that same video in science class a week ago, we were doing the same sort of experiments but with less reactive metals like zinc, copper etc. it was cool :dribble:
