Ok just a few questions...
1)How can I connect it to the internet wirelessly WITHOUT the wireless adapter thingy
2)My modem has the internet cable going into my router. My router has no open internet slots. If I disconnect it,I lose laptop internet. How can I still connect my 360 to it?
3)WHY the hell is it so damn loud!?

1. You can't
2. Buy a switch, they are like 20-30 bucks
3. Crappy design, small fans spinning really fast

:O! HEY!! How did you catch her?! I've been trying to catch that little bugger forever! That's my fairy dust :P

in answer to question 2, you could bridge the connection on your laptop, but you would need two ethernet ports (or one if your laptop is using wireless), my connection is bridged as the place my router is, is too far for the wifi to reach
-
Can you explain a little more in-depth?
I plugged my 360 into the ethernet port on my laptop(wireless) and when I tested my Live connection, it said wired was connected, but then it tested wireless and since wireless wasn't connected it wouldn't let me go any further. Thanks for the help fbr
-
And how do I do that?I've got vista home premium if that helps. And edit:It doesn''t go to wireless,my bad,it go to IP.

THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! I finally got it working!!! Your awesome thank you thank you thank you!!!

Now remember, if you are doing anything that slows the computer down both with the bandwidth or processing power, you will lag on XBL, so try to do 1 or the other...

yes you can. find a wireless router with bridging abilities and put dd-wrt firmware on it. they also make a bridge specifically for makin game systems wireless. use the advice in ur sig and search....
ill be nice...here ya go....

Thanks...I guess...I'm not buying a new router when mine works 100% fine, and I can use Live through my lappy, there's no reason to get a new one :P
And I was asking multiple questions, and who says I didn't search first?
-
The only problem with using all the bridges and such is the lag, each time the info goes to a router/modem/laptop it is slowed down. Jeez, that's why I don't recommend it...
-
Yeah, unless thats a nice powerful laptop, your gonna be lagging like hell.

well for me its actually the pther way round, my connection was worse when i used the 360 wifi to how its bridged now
-
then your routers WiFi signal is very weak.

then your routers WiFi signal is very weak.
it shows up as 3 bars on the xbox 360, it is downstairs :dntknw: but i really dont see much difference between bridged and normal
-
are you planning to mod ur xbox kicks
-
Yea,I don't know how long the warranty is,But I know it won't ast long in my hands ;) I'm waiting though, not modding it just yet.

what ever you do, dont lay it down. Everyone that I have ever talked to that has got the 3 Red lights has had it laying down, so I allways stand mine up, I also added extra fans to
-
yeah, i was tempted to lay mine down, but a friend led his down for like 3 hours and got RROD
-
Its quite funny, I think what way you set it has makes a different on the tempreture. It just funny that Microsoft has never expieremented with that. I might put a temp probe in mine to see if there is a difference, and I'm sure there is.
-
it would be to do with air circulation im guessing so if you were to lay it down but on top of little feet so say 4 2cm tall blocks so that there is plenty or clearance underneath for air to circulate then im guessing you wouldn't have a problem and if it was found to be a problem and mcft hadn't said anything about console orientation then im sure a class action law suit would be started (or whatever they are called)
