so i was talking to ken about upgrading from 3.52-4 to 3.71 and so i decided to try it. well it didnt let me for some reason. in my rage i deleted my 3.52-4 flash0 and replaced it with the 3.71 flash0. well its self explanatory that i bricked it. it was a full brick, couldn't even get back to recovery. then i tried making pandora and it 30 min later i couldnt load pandora. then i told ken i had vista and well pretty much noone told me i couldnt use vista. so i went on my xp and completed it. worst day of my life.
oh dont try to swap flash0 from different cfw versions. but i have tried 3.40oea flash0 on my 3.52-4 and it worked just fine but didnt boot up into xmb but i could still get back to recovery
-
lol for once i get to say you newb - who would try that lol
-
it was absolutely horrible. but i do kno how not to exchange flash0 with different cfw
-
PvP, you create the most hardest mods ever, yet, you couldnt even upgrade from 3.52-m33-4 to 3.71-m33, im shocked, it must of been the battery not fully charged or something
-
YO man u better than DAX
-
it was because i had a custom xmb and forgot to backup the flash0 so it wouldn't let me upgrade
-
Nope. Custom XMB doesn't matter. I've never been able to update 3.52 M33 - 4 to 3.71 on any PSP. It's got to be from M33 - 3, not 4. Not sure why. Anyways, to answer your other question, you can't put any flash0 files from one PSP onto another, unless they're decrypted.
Good news is you can now go from 1.50 straight to the latest fws.

If this happens again, see if you can make one of the slim pandoras and use that, they upgrade to the 3.71 m33 firmware directly. But really, how could you mess up a simple upgrade? :dntknw:
