Post by: Nemesis on December 28, 2007, 03:29:42 PM
im not sure which is positive and which is negative when soldering to the left speaker for the sound mod. also if i wanted to wire it to hold, how would it be done?
(btw t3h i done the method you said and i either done it wrong or i dont think it worked, it was worth a try though)

The bottom is the negative, if it's the black wire. How can you not know this?

Which speaker connection are you talking about? The mobo or the speaker itself. If is the mobo connection, the left solder point is the (-) and right is the (+). On the speaker itself, the black wire is the (-) and the grey wire is the (+).

Sorry to hijack this thread but I did not think another was warranted.

Could anyone tell me if it is ok to wire more than 2 LED's to the amplifier chip ?
How many can be wired to it ?

Thanks,

david.

what if the 2 leds were directly connected to the speaker, but wanted to use the hold switch or the note button, how would it be done?

you would just use the hold switch as if its a normal switch and wire into the 2 legs of it

sorry dont kinda understand that :(

Wire the negative wires to the hold.

oohhh kinda what i thought, so positive wires to positive terminals of the speaker and negative wires to the hold.

However, that would only work for one channel of sound, so only one LED.
