omg.. i was doing sound reactive led just watching my leds dance so sexy. then all of the sudden my speakers stopped working ! omgg.. i turned the psp off and turned them back on and nothing =[ took off the leds.. still nothing.. when i looked at what might have caused it i saw that the wires were touching metal so they must have shorted. is there a way to fix this? maybe alternative speaker points? my speakers still work i tested them on another psp. its just that my speaker points dont get any juice anymore =[
-
hmm i dunno if this exists but are there speaker fuse on the mobo? first check the points with multimeter see if they have a power and then just follow the paths on the mobo till u get to the point u shorted, maybe a fuse, i dunno, and run over it with a multimeter if there is current passing over it, if no rebridge it
keep in mind this advice comes from a noob so i might be talking total :censored: :winker:
-
well i know they dont get power because i soldered leds directly to see if theres any reaction. not only that i dont have a multimeter =[
-
omg i haf the exact veri same problem.anyways will ur battery runs out if u system shutdown???i tink the voltage is lost somewhere.O and about the speakers, if u put ur ear veri close to it can u hear some tiny buzzing sound??
-
yea.. really really quiet. i think the speakers cant take anymore than 2 leds. and idk how to fix it but i think im just gunna sell my psp. i also screwed up my 5v trace i no longer have one because the point where the trace comes from is gone. pretty bad luck with my psp. everything was fine i left it alone for 2 weeks because i was waiting for my acrylic for my jewel. then i thought about adding more leds and blah balh with led fader and i screw up =[ i also broke the little black plastic for the switch =[

wad u mean the 5 volt trace is gone??no voltage or reisitor broke?
-
the whole trace pealed off =[
anyways. looked around for traces of the speakers. there aren't any. so.............

u can solder the trace i tink. i will try to test out the problem after my exams.abt 2 weeks
-
the actual point where the 5v comes from is gone (came off)
-
ah ic.means nid to find another point.i trying to find out now where is the loss of extra power goes to.
-
awesome thanks man

i have good news, thxs to tibor28 i manage to find the fuse of the speakers on the mobo.I accident broke the fuse of the backlight too -.- ok so the backlight fuse is Labeled FB, while the speakers fuse is labeled LB. I will post pics after i take the pic.
Edited: NVM my cam suks canot see small stuffs clearly. But there is only 1 fuse labeled LB i think.
-
top or bottom? does that mean i just have to bridge it and ill be fine? :dribble: OMG THANKS <3

Its just LB. yeah juz bridge it. Dun bridge the FB and u r fine.
-
see pspkicks i told you that was the right fuse :) , and you can repair traces with silver paint/conductive pen
LOL then why didn't u post earlier???
-
foud the LB doing it now will let you guys know if it works then you'll be the discoverer of the speaker fix !
: there was actually 2 LB resisters. bridged them both.. didn't work you guys sure thats the resister?
-
Edhel I love you :O(in a non gay kinda way,you saved my ass,check R&D)

U can take a picture if u wan of the 2 LB. But for mi The LB is beside the FB. 1-1.5 cm distance.
U check ur soldering, it should work. Now i got a new problem. The light mod can off and on even though it is in shut down mode -.- Loses a lot of battery this way.
Edited: I know why i doesn;t work for you. U muz have bridged the resistor infront the motherboard. It is suppose to be the back of the motherboard.
-
yea i did the ones in front. ahah it wasn't clear that its the back. thanks ! ill do it tomorrow
-
YES it works !! <3
-
nice one!
-
YAY FOR YOU! *(silently goto psp then open it up....) lol
-
Congratulations anthonyta. You can save money from buying a motherboard. Btw check out my psp i just finished it.

tight
-
tight
wad u mean by tight??
anyway i still got the batt problem. Cause i didn't use the amplifier for the trigger mod, instead i change it to 40 ohms, maybe that is the case. As my battery is losing power overnight.
-
tight as in coool =] and you're battery might be dieing out because something is still running while your psp is off. just check your wires
-
ok i will do that in 2weeks time. Then u know which resistor to bridge so that my power and charging led will be brighter??Coz i bridge the motherboard resistor. Is still not bright enough.
-
i dont think you should be bridging any resisters for a led. that might be the reason why your battery keeps draining. check and see if your led is like dimly on when your psp is off but still plugged in. what i do to make my power led brighter is i wire the led up to short wires and i put the led directly under the power led circle on the faceplate. makes my blue led shine so bright i can see it outdoors better than the green oem led
-
ic but i think the problem lies in my 40 ohms resistor. My resistor heat up quite fast.
-
i know this is an old topic but i need to fix mine so here is a pick of the location for the rest of you (https://acidmods.com/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi259.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fhh289%2Falexcylecopley%2Flbsoundfuselocal.jpg&hash=457907b7be4c53f75ca0ca85c0be007e1e7acbf3)
