i just received my clear case from coolmods and will i was putting every thing where everything goes . I found out that one of the holes for the umd screws go is filled up with the see-through plastic and i cant put in the last screw. When i put it all together my umd door keeps opening up non stop i have to force it in so it can close and get hooled by the little hook. i also found out that the wifi antenna doesnt fit correctly it has a little bump on the corner where the powerboard is. How can i fix that? or should i return it to cool mods if thats possible.

Grab a pin or something, and stick it through the UMD screw hole. That should fix it.

too hard!

small drill and drill it out
you can bend the hook a little bit so it closes the umd door
i had thesame problem for the red chrome case ;)

Yeah it seems everyone has problems with coolmods cases. But as already mentioned grab a drill with a small drill bit and drill yourself a hole. If your having problems with other stuff fitting, you may have to grab an exacto knife and shave down areas. A lot of people have problems with the hook as well, mine popped out by itself while the umd was playing...i fixed it by prying off the hook cleaning the area a bit and re-gluing the piece.
Everything looks nice when its all together tho, so dont get discouraged. :yess:

k im going to do what staxx did. so what do i do for the umd hole so i can put in the last screw?
-
Are the more expensive cases higher quality once?
what brand is the best?
-
People say that the cases from dealextreme are the same as the ones in coolmods except the price. so i guess it doesnt matter where you get it from.
-
Camy are the best, but im pretty sure that they only make faceplates. At least thats all i saw last time i checked a while back.
-
my dealextreme case is :#1: . I got it, cheap as hell, has all branding on it (PSP on the UMD Door etc.) No problems with fitting at all. The UMD Door doesnt pop open. I sanded the bit above the UMD gears, but I dont think I needed to. Amazing case and the cheapest on the web. Also, with standard shipping it only took 5 days to get to the UK.

Are there any cases inspired by the PS1 controller/console?
I think I've herd of it... not sure.
and i like the authentic look, so I'm not into the clear case, but maybe a chrome or a gray ps1 case

1: do not dremel on your powerboard dremel on the case just dremel away what is pushing the powerboard up
2: loosen your screw behind the switch (in battary compartment)

i dont know whats pushing it i had cut a little piece where i though it was lifting it but that didnt work.
sliding switch doesnt go down to the middle even when i have the faceplate off.
