Did you buy it of ebay(or other action houses)
or did you buy it in a RL store?

if you bought it in a RL store, bring it back for a refund

Not neccesarally, fake ms can too because... its a replica of a real one but its fake. You should know if its fake because it may not read as a mem stick or it has dodgy pins or something?

Hmm.. that sucks, I always check my micro SD memory cards (even tho it doesn't have much to do with psp memory sticks) but they are samsung and I figured out which are fake and which are not. I think theres a guide in ebay that tells you how to tell the immediate diff between fake and real memory sticks.

If you can wait til November (day after Thanksgiving/Black Friday), they are really cheap then.  Last year, a 4GB MS could be had for as low as $35, which is why I got one.

oooh  Nooooo...    this is why we need a list!

Here is a list...

DO NOT buy ms from hong kong or China
DO buy from the UK

^^Pretty simple
Those foreighn countrys do not sell real stuff, they make them themselves. I am
currently buying a new case from hong kong for my psp. i know its fake, if you look very carefully at the pictures of what your buying abraud you should notice some differences from real stuff. (Example my fake case looks like its made from a mould)

Its hard really because you have to look at what your buying, friends will not notice it is fake because they dont really look at the product.
All pretty confusing i guess.

He didnt ask if you had a problem he just wanted to know if it was fake. All fake memory sticks should work but they have problems depending on what you use them for (e.g they make your games jumpy?).
I have never come across a fake mem dtick tho lol

that normally happens when a memory stick has been formatted incorrectly the psp and windows formatters dont work but for some strange reason the Pandora one does

that can also happen if one of the pins is damaged or scratched happened to someone who sent me a mem stick to pandora for them but they took responsibility as i did not damage it and they did not test it

anyway if you are still not sure sell it back on e-bay and buy a different one

i've had my fake 4gb for over a year and i never had any problems.

there is nothing different from the fake ones and real one apart from the loading/transfer speed, real ones transfer a lot faster but why complain, fake ones are a heck of a lot cheaper.

when i first got my psp i paid £70 ($140) for a real 1gb scandisk then 6 months later bought a fake sony 4gb for £30 ($60)
