I thought that 3.71 m33 was supposed to remove the locations free player icon from my XMB? Well, it didn't, and frankly, it makes my XMB look terrible. I have this sweet theme kickin, and its all awesome and matches my WP, but then you come across this nasty original Sony icon thats all white, and stands out like having an :censored: hole on your forehead. anyway, i dont mess with flash0 and what-not very much, so I'm not sure how to get it to go away. Can somebody tell me how to get rid of it?

I thought it would disappear in 3.80M33-2 with kernel 1.5 ... But it's still here :eyebrow:
It looks terrible with my awesome theme too :dntknw:

There are CFW addons that make your PSP restart, or turn off or what ever when you press it. Its also possible to rename it. And its possible to change the icon. Try to search around with google, i bet there are loads of guides.

It dous not get rid of the icon. it just deletes the prx in flash0 so that you cannot use the location free player.
everyone has the same problem. even official firmware people.

OK, i get that...so it stays, but i cant use it...well is there any way to hide it? I mean, if 3.71 m33 can hide the corrupt icons, doesnt that stand to say that you could hide ANY icon you wanted to?

Yes there is but you need to understand flash0 and its containing documents.

because it requires more code to remove the icon,, you don't just delete it.
anyway its written kernel, not kernla

It is possible to delete the icon, look on the qj.net forums for a FAQ if your really so concerned.

Personally, I would just make it into a icon that would use usbhostsb (I think that's what it's called?) so I could use PVP's USB mod easily.
