my prof worked for a HDD company a long time ago that made 35 mb HDD's that were as big as filling cabinets that banks used for storing information. but they got bought out by segate.

what i find amazing about hard drives is (besides 500 or so MB being big at one point)
was that the read/write head is so close to the disk that a hair cant get in it! smoke too!
crazy stuff

i'd say keep it and wait for its value to rise in 70 years
