Title: 5:15
Post by: Timmy on January 21, 2008, 11:23:49 PM
People who aren't fans of The Who wont know the significance of this song and the bassist who plays it

The bassist of the who mr John Entwistle revolutionised rock bass thanks to a fluke accident by another bassist during the who's emerging days, this revolution was multi-finger plucking, he also sped tapping and overall changed the way people look on the bass guitar as an instrument.

Before he died of cocaine overdose during a tour with the who, the song 5:15 from rock play Quadrophenia became trademarked by a bass solo that went for just as long as the song itself.

It contains a multitude of styles and paces and keeps you captivated.

Please welcome, mr JOHN THUNDERFINGERS ENTWISTLE!!!!!!!!!!!!
