Open it up, and search the antenna for cracks, and check the connection to the card itself. Mightve just become unplugged.

does it say "the attempt to obtain ip address timed out"?

sometimes it does that when you are not close enough to the hot spot. You may need to check our wifi board the anntenna or somthing may have broken
