well guys the pics in tut are down and I the soldering points, do any of you guys have a saved copy of them? It would really be helpful.
-
For the LEDS it is using bt+ and any ground you find, I have a picture Decy gave me, will upload soon.
-
naw he means usb, like the d-pad contacts i can try get some up soon
as for LED's you CAN use the battery terminal but without proper resistance your going to kill a lot of led's and they will ALWAYS be on unless you put in a switch.
the BASIC led points are leeching a parallel circuit off the power led, this is good for a few, if you want to create a Nintendo minature sun the BEST point is the one Rocky found in the slot 2 pins, ive run about 20 red led's off it before and it worked a charm ;)
BTW: I did the battery terminal idea months ago =P but no one was to know becuase its not really a good place to leech led's

Wow 20? I was thinking about finding different points, those 2 points Decy gave me which were under the LEDS and next to the power switch aren't bad but too small for me to keep a huge circuit connected to, and I might remove the slot 2 on my DS just to have between a built in slot 2 homebrew device or a rumble device in it

ok guys I took some pictures of my ds lite motherboard
(https://acidmods.com/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi219.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fcc157%2Feeveenerd%2FPic2.jpg&hash=e8a628d8b680d0b3e61839de6205d8c6dec844c2)
Do I solder in the blue section or the green section?
(https://acidmods.com/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi219.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fcc157%2Feeveenerd%2FPic1.jpg&hash=a1ad9ab9071aa6bac95b1a1122e13f14e9eaa21a)
Now for this one do I solder in the blue, purple, red, or yellow sections?
and does anyone know where a ground point is on the ds lite motherboard? I looked for one but I couldn't find it.
I think from memory you solder in the blue sections in both pictures but I'm not sure
-
Ok for ground points, jsut solder onto those little squares in the DS, there should be like 2-3 on the motherboard, one right above the power switch. Dunno much about those solder points.
-
what little squares?
-
what little squares?
i think there may be little square connection pads on the ds motherboard, and hes saying that any of those can be used for ground. If you take a look at your MB you should see em, but as for if they actually work i couldnt say as i havent tested em.
-
Yeah they work, they all work as a ground. I had to use one to ground my power switch since I ripped the trace for that part off.
-
Well thats that then lol little squares FTW :D
-
I found a contact that says vgnd under the screen will that work?

it's just above the blue wire on the left side
-
well for the D-pad i for up its blue and the rest its green. Im not sure about the buttons
-
so your saying I use the blue section for the up and the green section for the rest right? you weren't really clear
-
so your saying I use the blue section for the up and the green section for the rest right? you weren't really clear
Yeah that's right sorry about the confusion I don't really even understand what I wrote. For the X, Y, A, B buttons you use your yellow and purple for positive and the negative is the blue and red. But you can use any ground for negative.
-
Hmm would you know any for the slot 2 cartridge?
-
from the inside or from the filler cart?
-
Inside, but I mean from the part that is used to hold cartridges. Either I'll remove it completely or use it's points for the LEDS you were talking about OR I'll remove it, insert a kind of pin holder, have specific pins in my filler carts, so that I can connect external things. (i.e- rumble pack, extra speaker or 2, extra LEDs, hopefully I might try to add an PIC in my filler cart to try something out :D)
