Title: is warranty exchange worth it??

I bought my psp slim, few days ago, and there's a crack in the r button, you barely can see it, but it's ugly... i tried to returne it at the store where I bought it.. but they won't accept it.. (I hate that playstation store at metreon) i should have bought it at toys r us..

anyway, so I requested an exchange service to sony, and they sent me the box, but I'm still thinking if i'm gonna go ahead with it.. because they said they might send me a refurbished one.. which I think unfair, after all I barely used my psp..

they should sent me brand new I guess,  anyway it is so ironic I bought 2 psp's at the same time, the other one is for my boyfriend, and I got the damaged one..

so what do you think guys?? a cracked R button or a refurbished one.. which i'm not sure about the quality

what you should do is buy new triggers for like $5.00 usd

and take ur faceplate off (7 screws)

and take the trigger off (1 screw)

Total=8 Screws, 10 mins

also say goodbye to your warranty.

i dont think sony would have any refurbished ones. but what you could do is sell your psp to people say.. like a friend or if you're in us you can do craigslist.org. or ebay. if i was in your position i would sell it and buy another.  :tup: good luck

I wouldnt void your warranty at this point.

Most Slims are new, mine was new when it was swapped a couple weeks agoo.

really?? well, that's a relief, my first idea is to sell it, and buy a new one, but I don't want to spend again, besides I already spent enough for these psp's,
well, the consumer representative that I talked to, said, that there is a greater chance of me getting a new one, because I only had it.. and as you got a good point.. so off to ups! I guess..

and keeping my fingers crossed..

i just return my PSP slim to walmart it's easy return i got like 12 day when i return i told the guy that my bro don't like it then he say ok
That it!! my money back, The resion i return it because i want to wait and get the (red God of war) lol!!
