Hello guys. Is it true that there are 2 versions of LM386 audio chip? I heard there is a normal one and an smd one and only this one will fit the psp. Is it true and how do i know if its smd or normal one? Where can i buy it so it will ship to germany?? THX

Both versions should work. SMD is harder to use and solder, the 386chips have their pins cut down so it would fit properly in the PSP

SMD is surface mount so the pins spread out and the other(can't think of the abbreviation)the pins go down through the board your attaching it to.
