my backlight fuse came off and my iron is packed away

I have no more use for my PSP and I am $300 in debt

Should I sell it?

If you have no more money for repairs, then sell it or wait till you have money.

i can repair it myself, just my soldering iron is packed away in one of the 10,000 identical cardboard boxes that are in some storage facility

the sensible option is to try n get rid of your debt so unless u have a way to pay ur debts of without selling it then thats what i think u should do
