I want to know which case is the better quality? All I have had is shock! cases and I gotten trouble everytime. I know there's a ghost brand out there and I want to know if it's better or worse.
EDIT: and what about the ones from dealextreme?

so out of the three which is the best?
-
I have had 3 shock and 2 ghost and the ghost shells are better by far. All 3 of my shock broke and I have yet to break a ghost. The DX ones look better than all them because of the reinforced hinge.
-
All I've had is the new DX clear shell, and it's been loyal to me all the way :D. Btw Rocky, how do you notice the new hinge and the older ones? I can't seem to figure it out.
-
it looks like the better one isnt internal.

do you know if the ghost ones come with screws like the DX's?
and in terms in strength which one is better ghost or DX's?

Well if you look at the old ones the hinge is flat and the new ones have bumps on it to reinforce it.

No the Ghost shell does not come with screws or screen covers like the DX ones. I have not tried the DX ones but they look much stronger.
-
do the DX screws hold up well? I heard bad reviews about them
and do either the ghost or DX cases have pre-drilled holes?
-
In a way they do, but screw em tightly or else you will accidentally get them at an angle which had me forced to whip out my BIG screwdriver. If anything use the DS stocks, because the DX ones are all THE SAME, short phillip screws, the size of the screws on the stock top shell.
-
I think I'm going with DX because it has the logo on top, but I want to know do the triggers work out of the box? because I have NEVER been able to get the shock triggers to work without shaving them.
-
Well I had some seriously annoying sticking problem with the L button, but I thought that was due to my cable postions. Since you mentioned the shaving idea, I might try the same thing and hope that it works.
-
hey guys is this the same thing as the DX one?

Sure does look like it. Has a transparent shell, yet the logo is still on it, and it says it gives you the screws and everything like the DX one. The only diff is the price, Dx offers $18 something WITH shipping, this one is like 23 w/o shipping.

the thing that was confusing me was the color

ithink thats actually a spring problem...
-
In some cases, it's the spring, in others though, it's actually between the case and the cable placement. If you don't place the cables in the right way, you'll notice a small line or gap, if you will, on the bottom part of the ds. Usually when you try to use the shoulder buttons, the case rubs with the button and basically doesn't allow it to function properly. Allow less common then the spring problem, it's WAY more annoying. This is probably the main reason I rather handle DS phats then lites.
