Title: psp motherboard no lcd tap will it work

i am going to buy a psp motherboard that doesn't have a lcd tap will it be like the backlight and just put a piece of electrical tape and it will be fine or will it be no good

i broke my backlight tab off, and i just put electric tape over it and it works

but this is for a slim

yes it will be fine just use elictrical tape

you mean it doesnt have a place to plug the lcd in???

good luck!!!

if it deosnt have the tab... its semi ok (you could get it to work) if it doesnt have the whole lcd socket (like one of my mobo's then i wouldnt suggest buying it (i ripped the traces off of the board when i got pissed at breaking the socket tab)

If you mean the little black thing on the connector, I have had trouble keeping the LCD connection on my psp when that pece is missing (which caused color distortion and eventually, the screen to stop showing images). I might have been doing it wrong since I hot glued it into place. :boxed:

if the black bit has gone it doesn't matter i have the tab broken on mine, i used no electrical tape when the screen is put in if you put it in correctly then it should stay in anyway
