Title: what to do with a broken psp

i got a psp phat from a friend and it has a broken laser (it doesn't light up when i press the umd switch) and i don't feel like fixing it
it has firmware version 1.5 and i've decided to use kxploit on it so i don't need to use a pandora battery
is this the best choice?

WOW dude thats great that U have a 1.5 PSP, update it to Costume Firmware like 3.71M33 and run ISO's on it.

if you want to fix it, you can just buy someone's used UMD drive.

use it as like a test psp and prototype mods on it  :tup:

thats what i was thinking at first
but i got nesterj to run on it with my main memory stick
but i reformatted it and put all my old stuff on it and put it back into my slim psp
i need another memory stick

try the SD card mod... you can get 16gbs for under 100dollars if you buy the stuff from the right places( or 4gb for like 40 bucks) :yess:

how do i go about the sd mod? (link please)
i saw a 1 gb sd card at my local pamida for like $15 and thats about all i need for memory
