Title: psp battery getting really hot
Post by: thosepeoples on February 20, 2008, 03:03:25 PM: kinda feel nooby about asking about this but i tried opening my psp battery so i could follow the 3xAAA battery tutorial and the battery started to get really hot. what should i do?

Post by: JefeSand on February 20, 2008, 03:36:36 PM: Stop wasting batteries and use a regulation sony battery. Of course some of those ebay ones have been known to catch fire. Batteries are going to get hot when they are used, but if they get so hot that it could burn you then, use different batteries and don't skimp out on them use a good name brand like Energizer.

Post by: P3nnyw1se on February 20, 2008, 07:52:11 PM: Throw the battery away, most likely it's acid, the same happened to me with an official sony battery. I wafted the scent and it turned out to be acid. So be REALLY careful!

did it get hot when you opened it? was it plugged in to a power supply?
